(Logo by Pablo aka Megaman511again) Introduction I decided to 'organize' the topic a bit. So, first off what is this? TT64 is sucking and really outdated. No offense to VL-Tone and his creations, he was a genius and I remember him from Acmln Boards in 2004/2005 where he and HyperHacker were the first real N64 Hackers.
BGNG cracked the MIO0 compression format. (Still can be seen on EmuTalk) He later created a level editor for SM64, which is indeed very useful. However, there are a few things which disturb me and maybe some others: - Toad's Tool 64 runs only on Windows and Mac. Linux can run it too, but gets black sometimes and his horribly buggy.
TT64 was created in the buggy and slow Adobe Director. Personally, I'm not a Adobe fan and I will never code any software in this. Again: TT64 is still full of bugs. There are many other issues I have with TT64, especially the design. (No, the design is good. But the person who first sees it, is probably extremely confused.) My goal is to keep my level editor very clean.
I'm going to use a few custom designs like for the camera button and the object movement button and maybe for top view, bottom view, etc. But there won't be an overuse of custom designs like it happened in TT64.
You may agree or not agree to this. But trust me. Many will profit from it later when the design looks simple and easy.
My main goals for my level editor are: - Cross-Platform (should run on Linux, Mac OS, Windows and maybe other OS) - Implementing some 'custom' features which TT64 didn't have or were planned but never added cause VL-Tone gave up on the project. (Except the Level Importer feature. Foreui prototyping tool for mac. Use Skelux's Level Importer for this) - (Personal Thing): Keeping the codebase clean and structured. So, in case if someone gets the source code, they actually may be able to extend it. (Maybe): I should add a kind of 'plugin' feature, so people can code some plugins for the level editor. Perfomance and fast tool. No slowdowns.
Current progress: (Testing out OpenGL API) Yeah what else to say? Mod edit: Fixed table stretch. Tarek701 is dead. SM64 Manager Flifit. I have an idea for movement and camera controls, you could use a gamecube joystick as a way to move, and c-stick for camera movement. Of course there would be other ways to move, but this would be like this thing in TT64.

Here are some I just made, I could also do some more realistic and shaded versions if wanted. Big Cholesteron.
Looks great so far, can't wait for it. I hope it has the option to orbit around objects as well as dropping them like in TT64. Other 3D level editors don't have those features. By the way, I'm very sorry to ask this, but do you mind coming up with a different name for the tool?
It's just that it doesn't sound as 'recognizable' as a name like Toad's Tool 64 for example. I'm afraid that average users will miss the fact that it's for a Mario game - My Youtube Channel: Skype: Flame8765 MK8 License: Muncher. Lol, I could have been making this stuff too but I don't see where yo are requesting these things to be made xD In the main post, he says that he had to get a couple of icons from the internet because he didn't have any made for him yet.

New Super Mario Bros for Wii hasn't been out for more than a month and there's already two level editors! Today we're going to take a look at two NSMB level editors: Tanooki (already released) and (upcoming). Tanooki is more than just a Mario suit.
Tanooki is a full featured level editor for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, yes NSMB.Wii! With Tanooki you can customize and change every aspect of every level! This is a nice surprise seeing how NSMB.Wii has only been out for less than a month.
